DuPont Polycrystalline Diamond Powder

SPECTRUM Polycrystalline Synthetic Diamond Powder is synthesized by a patented shock-compaction method under highly controlled technology. A particle of the diamond by this method consists of the numberless fine primary diamonds strongly congregated each other having the blocky shape.

The Polycrystalline Diamonds are the only type of diamonds that have self-sharpening properties. Polycrystalline structure will open new sharp edges by releasing the outer layer of dull monocrystalites. The polycrystalline diamonds can lap and polish any materials faster than any other abrasive while producing the smoothest, most scratch free surface possible.

In microstructure and appearance SPECTRUM Polycrystalline Diamonds resemble "Carbonado" the rare natural polycrystalline "black" diamond. Both are similar in color because they contain trace elements and are multi-faceted.
